Don’t Touch My Hair at The Culture Parlor | Grit & Glam Awards Brunch

The Culture Parlor is a multi-day activation including live performances, panel discussions and a close out brunch hosted by Ayana Morris in celebration of the unveiling of Don’t Touch My Hair. Don’t Touch My Hair is a mobile immersive experience located in Harriet Tubman Square celebrating the evolution of black hair. It gives you an intimate look into the mind of a black woman and her connection with her hair.

Join us for a very special close out event at The Culture Parlor, The Grit & Glam Brunch honoring two power houses, Essence Editor-At-Large, Mikki Taylor and Fashion Designer + Celebrity Stylist Misa Hylton. Mikki and Misa will engage in an intimate conversation with artist Ayana at the Parlor discussing their career journeys, what it means to be a black woman in America and the significance of hair to the culture. They will also receive the Grit & Glam award for their contribution in building the images of black women.
