The screening at Express Newark brought together community members for a powerful exploration of Belafonte’s impact on social justice, art, and culture. 

Following the film, a panel discussion delved deeper into his enduring legacy and the lessons we can carry forward. Guests ended the night with a reception backed by the live Jazz stylings of Blue Unity Quintet. The event served as a profound reminder of the power of activism, art, and collective action in shaping a more equitable future.
