The Refill: Afro-modern Fashion Marketplace + Storytelling Experience Featuring Biageli

Come refill your cup at Newark’s First Stage.
Join us for an evening of fashion, story, culture and connection as we celebrate what we wear, where it comes from and the stories it carries.
One year of BIAGELI meets one hundred years of Newark Symphony Hall.
Come early and settle in. The evening begins with our marketplace, networking, music and drinks, with time to shop, connect and explore the installation. From there, we’ll gather for the BIAGELI presentation and conversation before raising a Centennial toast together. Then stick around as the bar and marketplace reopen and the evening returns to connection and community.
Through Print Speaks, guests will encounter a gallery-style installation of selected BIAGELI garments, revealing the prints, inspiration and cultural influences behind the designs. A guided presentation will bring us closer to the collection before opening into a fireside conversation and audience Q&A exploring fashion, storytelling, creativity and the journey behind the brand.
We’re welcoming BIAGELI, an Afro-modern fashion brand celebrating its first anniversary, for an evening where fashion becomes both exhibition and conversation.
For this edition, we’re exploring the stories we wear.
This October, The Refill becomes part of Africa on Stage, Newark Symphony Hall’s month-long series centering African artistry across music, film, fashion, dance and conversation.
Created as part of Newark Symphony Hall’s Centennial, The Refill is our monthly gathering designed to bring people together through culture, creativity, conversation and community. It’s a space to unwind, meet new people, discover artists and entrepreneurs, and experience the Hall in a different way.
Come refill your cup. As always, entry is FREE with RSVP.
