HYCIDE: The Black & White Book Launch Party And Exhibition

The HYCIDE: The Black & White Book launch was a powerful evening that celebrated the return of HYCIDE magazine with a stunning new coffee table book. Held at the Newark Museum of Art, the event featured a curated conversation around race, culture, and societal constructs, with a special focus on Black power and white supremacy.

Guests engaged with thought-provoking artwork and discussions led by ethnographer Dr. Yaba Blay, while enjoying an atmosphere that reflected the bold messages of the book. The night included entertainment by DJ’s Asen James, MAV, and Shawn Joyner, with live performances by Khalil Jibran, Gail Campbell, Storyboard P, Saladine Newark, and Daniel Patrick. The event not only honored the legacy of HYCIDE but also sparked critical dialogue about the intersection of art, activism, and identity.
