Black women have always imagined future realities that stretch beyond the limitations of the present moment. Now, we're putting those conceptions onto film. Join Newark Women In Film for a showcase and discussion of Afrofuturistic films during Open Doors @ The Newark Arts Festival Oct 12 from 7-10 PM

Reimagine justice arts, science and technology through a black female lens. We will showcase two films Pumzi 21.50min - by Wanuri Kahiu and Afronuts 14min - by Frances Bodomo with
open audience discussion afterwards.

BE READY FOR OPEN SCREEN
If you have a short 10min or under that imagines future realities for the open screen portion of the evening sign up at the door,
have your short on a flash drive cued, and ready to show, and simple, we will screen it. No porn or hate videos.
