Community Night: Block Party + Three Half Lozenges Installation Debut

Hosted by The Newark Museum of Art
Join us to celebrate the debut of the site-specific installation Three Half Lozenges by Phillip K. Smith III. Dance to the beats of DJ Shell Spin, as you experience a night of pure fluorescent fun! Enjoy live glass blowing demonstrations from Glassroots or take in a fashion show by Marco Hall. Goods by Fern & Fossil, Urban Glo, and NMOA Shop. Food by the delicious Walla Burger!
Timeline:
6pm Food, music, and artmaking begins (available throughout)
6:45pm Remarks by Mayor Baraka and Artist Phillip K. Smith III
7pm Debut of Three Half Lozenges light installation
7:30pm Marco Hall fashion show
8pm: Darryl Stewart performs pop covers
9pm: Event ends

Covid-19 Protocols: Restrooms will be available in the Museum for event attendees who present a copy of vaccination card or photo or show a negative Covid-19 test from the last 72 hours. Portable restrooms will be stationed in Washington Park (in front of Museum).
