Brian Branch-Price has been documenting black cowboys across the United States for over the past 5 years in his series, “The Black Cowboy”. The award-winning photojournalist’s “Crazy Faith Riders” solo exhibition centers on the horseback riding club Crazy Faith Riders of N.J. on their 2022 Round Valley Trail Ride in Clinton Township, NJ. Established over 16 years ago, these black cowboys of NJ have been riding together for 20+ years. Price captured and witnessed, in his signature black and white style photography, over 300 people that participated in the annual trail ride and festivities on August 19-21, 2022. Price has received numerous awards, including the Associated Press Photo award in 2005 and 2003, the National Association of Black Journalists Award of Excellence in 2010, and the Tokyo International Foto Award in 2017 & 2018. His work has been featured in Ebony Magazine, GM, Ford Motor Company, The National Urban League, The Positive Community Magazine, Zuma Press Images, and The Washington Post Magazine. Black Swan Espresso Gallery proudly presents this exhibition for the Newark Arts Festival 2022.
