“Perspectives” at Artspace at Vermella Broad Street celebrates the visions of over 20 visual artists who reimagine joy as a powerful lens for seeing, taking up space, and creating new possibilities. Through painting, drawing, and mixed media, the works spark playful discovery, invite quiet reflection, and ignite bold provocation—each revealing joy as a force that shapes our lives and communities.
Presented as part of Newark Arts Festival 2025, this vibrant exhibition celebrates Newark’s creative community and highlights how diverse perspectives can transform the way we experience the world. Perspectives is a city-rooted, communal celebration where art affirms that joy is not only a feeling or performance, but a practice, a resource, and a catalyst for inspiration and change.
